The name Krintan

Literally meaning ‘tremor’ krintan (कृन्तन) is a musical term used primarily for string instruments to mark the deliberate shiver that evokes pure emotion. It is most common in North Indian classical music. Pt Joi Srivastava had developed a unique style of expressing music on the violin where he used krintan in certain parts of his performance. Krintan the organisation aims to bring this tremor to heartstrings all over the world.
